ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – The Old Harbour Bay Regatta hit a high note on Saturday as thousands of spectators flocked to the beach of the town’s fishing village for the annual Emancipation Day showpiece.
‘Fearless’ was the winner of the marquee Yamaha Engine Race, along with the coveted Yamaha engine prize, which brought an exciting close to the six-race boat competition.
According to Jason Fuller, the president of the Old Harbour Bay Community Development Association, which organises the regatta, some 26 vessels participated this year and more than 4,000 people were expected to attend.
