The Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Centre which can accommodate up to some 30 learners was named after Gertrude Ghanie, a beloved former headteacher of Mabaruma Nursery School and a pioneer in education development for the early childhood. In honouring her legacy, it was disclosed that Mrs. Ghandi devoted her life to nurturing the community’s youngest minds with love, patience, and devotion.
