A ran­sacked of­fice, a tam­pered safe, and a miss­ing elec­tric­i­ty me­ter greet­ed work­ers when the TTPost build­ing on Lucky Street, La Ro­maine, was re­opened ear­ly Fri­day morn­ing, af­ter bur­glars broke in­to the fa­cil­i­ty overnight.

Po­lice said a mail car­ri­er se­cured the premis­es around 4 pm on Thurs­day at the end of the busi­ness day. When he re­turned around 5.50 am on Fri­day and car­ried out rou­tine checks, he ob­served signs of forced en­try.

Fur­ther in­spec­tions re­vealed that bur­glar-proof­ing on the north­ern side of the build­ing had been de­tached. The in­te­ri­or of­fice space was found in dis­ar­ray, a safe had been tam­pered with, and a T&TEC me­ter was miss­ing.
