To­ba­go ban­dits used a blow­torch to at­tempt to break in­to the FCB ATM in Cas­tara this morn­ing, but de­spite burn­ing through three doors, they failed to break open the vault and es­caped with­out a cent.

Snr Supt Earl Elie told Guardian Me­dia that the at­tempt­ed ATM bur­glary hap­pened be­fore dawn around 3.20.

Po­lice re­port said of­fi­cers re­ceived the re­port around 3.55 am and of­fi­cers from the Di­vi­sion­al Task Force re­spond­ed im­me­di­ate­ly. When they ar­rived, they met with Amal­ga­mat­ed Se­cu­ri­ty of­fi­cers, who were al­ready on the scene.
