A 20-year-old man was killed in a collision on the southbound lane of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway near the Army Base on Saturday night.
Around 8:35pm, Isaiah Teelucksingh of Fyzabad was driving a Nissan Cefiro when it crashed into a wrecker that was partially on the shoulder of the highway. His vehicle was extensively damaged, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other drivers, Krishna Balram of Gasparillo and Ravi Cazabon of Woodland, were injured in the crash and taken to hospital for treatment.
