The National Cultural Foundation issues a statement following the passing of Dr Elliot Parris:
The National Cultural Foundation (NCF) is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Elliott Parris, who served as the Foundationās second Director from 1988 to 1995.
Dr. Parris leaves behind a legacy of service, as an educator, sociologist, theatre practitioner, cultural advocate and devoted champion of Barbadosā heritage. His life was one of scholarship and activism, enriched by a deep appreciation for the power of culture to shape, affirm and celebrate who we are as a people.
