A High Court judge has allowed attorneys for businessman Dominic Hadeed and his wife, Genevieve, to inspect police station diaries as they challenge the legality of the couple’s detention.
They were held as part of a police probe into a conspiracy to assassinate government officials.
During a habeas corpus hearing on Monday, Justice Frank Seepersad granted the request after the defence argued the arrests began as a routine criminal investigation but were later shifted under the Emergency Powers Regulations.
