Former Barbados Turf Club director and chief racecourse chair Duane Burke is questioning the logic of choosing the Garrison Savannah to be theĀ new site of the controversial Suarez Brothersā Circus.
The facility was shut down by authorities after one performance at its former location in the Belle, St Michael last week, due to its proximity to the nationās largest underground aquifer. After plans emerged that the historic horse racing venue was being considered as the new location, Burke was one of the more vocal critics of the plan.
With the venue now being confirmed, Burke remains opposed to the decision and has taken issue with how the relocation has been handled.
