The Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion says it con­tin­ues to mon­i­tor weath­er con­di­tions across Trinidad and To­ba­go, with a fo­cus on man­ag­ing risks to school op­er­a­tions due to po­ten­tial flood­ing.

In a re­lease is­sued on Wednes­day evening, the Ed­u­ca­tion Min­istry said it re­mains in close and con­tin­u­ous con­tact with both the Trinidad and To­ba­go Me­te­o­ro­log­i­cal Ser­vice and the Min­istry of Rur­al De­vel­op­ment and Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment to re­ceive reg­u­lar up­dates and ad­vi­sories.

It said of­fi­cials are pay­ing par­tic­u­lar at­ten­tion to river­ine lev­els and flood-prone ar­eas. This co­or­di­nat­ed ap­proach al­lows the min­istry to make time­ly, in­formed de­ci­sions to safe­guard stu­dents, staff, and school com­mu­ni­ties.
