A neighbourhood joyride turned deadly when a Moruga teenager was killed after the vehicle he and a friend were travelling in crashed in the early hours of Sunday.
Investigating police officers received information that the Hyundai Matrix in which Adin Baptiste, 16, was a passenger and crashed into a utility pole, was reported stolen.
It is believed that Adin, of Samuel Cooper Trace, Basseterre, entered the vehicle not knowing that the vehicle was stolen.
