The current state of emergency (SoE), as of October 7, has delivered fewer operational results than the previous 73-day SoE between December 30 last year and April 13, 2025.
The current SoE, which commenced in July, is scheduled to end in the last week of October unless Parliament approves another extension.
Comparing both SoEs using data provided by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), showed that during the previous SoE there were 5,192 police operations resulting in 4,038 arrests.
