A St Andrew event promoter who previously made headlines after allegedly trying to bribe a police officer to keep an illegal party going in Stony Hill has now been fined $110,000 in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
Ian Parkes pleaded guilty when he appeared before the court on Monday in connection with the May 2 incident in Bowden Hill, Stony Hill.
According to court records, police officers moved to shut down an unauthorized event about 11:30 p.m. when Parkes allegedly attempted to convince one of the officers to allow the party to continue.
