A major illegal quarrying and mining operation in the Manuel Congo community of Guanapo was shut down early yesterday morning following a pre-dawn raid led by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).
The multi-agency operation, executed just after 5 a.m., was led by Commissioner of Police (CoP) Allister Guevarro and supported by Deputy Commissioner of Police Natasha George, Assistant Commissioner of Police Smith, acting Superintendent Haynes, and ASP Williams.
