Scores of people, dressed in white and holding lit candles, gathered at the playpark at Jade Court on Sunday for a peace concert aimed at promoting unity and hope in the community.
The concert was organised by 2026 Extempo Monarch Brian London following the murders of Devaughn Toussaint and Amelia Hernandez, who were fatally shot on Carnival Friday in the presence of their three-year-old daughter. No children were injured in the incident.
In a social media post, London called on fellow artistes to support the event. He said, “As artistes we have a voice … We are of the people, so let’s do this one for the people.”
