The Agriculture Ministry has urged farmers to take early measures to protect crops, livestock and water supplies, as meteorological forecasts indicate that El NiƱo conditions are expected to develop in the coming weeks.
In a video advisory issued on its social media platforms, the Ministry warned that the anticipated weather pattern could result in prolonged dry spells, extreme heat, reduced rainfall, isolated thunderstorms and increased pressure on water resources.
