RPL targets September build-out of new airport service station

Regency Petroleum Limited (RPL) is targeting the end of September to begin construction of a new service station near Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA), as the junior market-listed company moves to capitalise on one of the island’s busiest transportation corridors.

The under-two-acre development, which represents an investment of about $300 million, emerges as RPL’s sixth service station and its largest to date. The company expects the facility to be operational within three to four months after construction begins.

“We have procured, I would say, about 60 per cent of the equipment already. We now have the tanks in Jamaica, and we have the dispensers on the way,” founder and CEO Andrew Williams told the Jamaica Observer during a recent interview.
