Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar met with chairman of the Refinery Reactivation Committee Kevin Ramnarine and its members yesterday to review progress on restarting the former Petrotrin refinery.
“The Prime Minister reaffirmed her commitment to transparency, national benefit, and ensuring that Trinidad and Tobago advances with a refinery plan that truly serves our people. Further updates will be shared as discussions progress,” a post on the United National Congress’ (UNC’s) Facebook page stated yesterday.
Also present at the meeting was Energy Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal and Minister in the Ministry of Energy Ernesto Kesar.
