The State of EmerĀgency (SoE) triĀbunal reĀviewĀing busiĀnessĀman DoĀminic Hadeedās PreĀvenĀtive DeĀtenĀtion OrĀder (PDO) has recĀomĀmendĀed that he be reĀleased from cusĀtody, findĀing that his conĀtinĀued deĀtenĀtion was not necĀesĀsary or exĀpeĀdiĀent in the pubĀlic inĀterĀest, acĀcordĀing to apĀpeal docĀuĀments filed beĀfore the JuĀdiĀcial ComĀmitĀtee of the Privy CounĀcil.
The disĀcloĀsure was made in an āInĀforĀmaĀtion About the ApĀpealā docĀuĀment filed by the apĀpelĀlants, the ComĀmisĀsionĀer of PoĀlice, the MinĀisĀter of HomeĀland SeĀcuĀriĀty, the AtĀtorĀney GenĀerĀal and PoĀlice ConĀstaĀble ElĀdon CalĀliste No 16601, in their apĀpeal against deĀciĀsions arisĀing from proĀceedĀings in the Court of ApĀpeal of Trinidad and ToĀbaĀgo. The docĀuĀment states that the SOE triĀbunal reĀceived writĀten subĀmisĀsions on beĀhalf of Hadeed on JuĀly 9 and heard oral subĀmisĀsions at a hearĀing on JuĀly 10.
The apĀpeal, filed as JCPC/2026/0066, was isĀsued on JuĀly 21, 2026, and lists DoĀminic Hadeed and Genevieve Hadeed as reĀsponĀdents.
