…Karimbaksh threatens legal action
Embattled Deputy Commissioner Fazil Karimbaksh, is challenging a decision taken by Police Commissioner Clifton Hicken to send him on pre-retirement leave and has threatened to take legal action against the Top Cop.
Karimbaksh, who serves as Head of the Special Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) – the white-collar investigative arm of the Guyana Police Force (GPF), is currently facing allegations of rape and threatening behaviour by a female rank.
