ATTORNEYS for football’s regional governing body Concacaf and its former president Jack Warner are exploring a settlement of a US$37.8 million lawsuit over the ownership of the Centre of Excellence in Macoya.
The matter returned to the High Court yesterday, where Justice Wendy Ali adjourned the proceedings to February 26 to allow the parties more time to negotiate.
Concacaf’s attorney, Jonathan Walker, told the court that discussions with Warner’s legal team, led by Senior Counsel Fyard Hosein, had made progress and there was hope of reaching an agreement without the need for a lengthy trial.
