The second staging of the Youth Football League's (YFL) Champions Cup is on today at the UWI Mona Bowl.
Following a successful inaugural tournament in 2025, the Champions Cup has quickly established itself as one of Jamaica's premier primary and preparatory school football competitions, bringing together the very best schools to compete for national bragging rights while celebrating excellence, teamwork, and youth development.
This year's tournament is particularly special as several of the participating schools are located in communities affected by Hurricane Melissa. This year's Champions Cup welcomes three schools making their tournament debut: — Emmanuel Christian Academy, Glen Stuart Primary, and Clark's Town Primary. They join defending champions Balmagie Primary, along with returning finalists Corinaldi Avenue Primary, Hillel Academy, Lannamans Preparatory School, and Sts Peter & Paul Preparatory School. Together, the eight schools have earned their places in the Champions Cup through outstanding performances and will now compete for one of Jamaica's most prestigious primary and preparatory school football titles.
