Lisa Simone working on reggae album with Jah Screw

For some time, Lisa Simone pondered recording a reggae album, but wanted things to be right when she took the plunge. That came in late 2025 when she met producer Paul “Jah Screw” Love through a mutual friend.

Jah Screw, best known for his work with Barrington Levy, has guided her on a series of recording sessions that will result in her third album. That project is scheduled for release in 2027.

“We’re well into the production process. We’ve completed several recordings and we’re fine-tuning the songs to make sure every detail is right,” said Lisa Simone, who lives in South Florida. “We believe in taking our time so that when the music reaches the listeners, it represents the best of what we can offer.”
