Glasgow fire victim's new home near completed

(Kaieteur News) – Tricia Wintz, whose home was destroyed by fire several months ago, is closer to opening the doors of her new home at Glasgow Village, East Bank Berbice.

Wintz, a 45-year-old municipal constable attached to the Mayor and Town Council (M&TC) of New Amsterdam, shared the six-bedroom property with her seven children. The two-story wooden and concrete structure was flattened on 27th April, 2026.

A commitment was immediately made by prominent New Amsterdam businessman Aubrey David to facilitate the completion of a new home for her. This pledge was made just days after Wintz’s home was destroyed.
