Ligoureās deĀparĀture is the latĀest in a seĀries of leadĀerĀship changes at the airĀline, which reĀcentĀly saw the apĀpointĀment of a new Board of DiĀrecĀtors with ReyĀna KowĀlessar reĀplacĀing RonĀnie MoĀhammed as CAL ChairĀman. Ligoureās resĀigĀnaĀtion alĀso comes amid inĀtense pubĀlic scrutiĀny on the airĀline, as the Prime MinĀisĀter has voiced conĀcerns over CALās failĀure to subĀmit auĀditĀed fiĀnanĀcial stateĀments for nearĀly a decade and what she says is the opĀerĀaĀtion of unĀprofĀitable routes.
While the airĀline has seen sevĀerĀal juĀnior staff reĀsign over the last few months, this is the first high-levĀel deĀparĀture since Roger BerkeĀleyās resĀigĀnaĀtion as Vice PresĀiĀdent of HuĀman ReĀsources in 2024. At the time, CAL CEO Garvin MedĀera statĀed that BerkeĀley was leavĀing to āenĀgage in new opĀporĀtuĀniĀties elseĀwhere.ā
