A second synthetic athletics track could soon be installed in western Jamaica, according to Sports Minister Olivia Grange.
Speaking exclusively with TVJ Sports, Grange revealed that a new track and field facility is being considered for the Trelawny Multipurpose Stadium, which was built ahead of the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup.
“We’re setting up the enterprise team shortly, in a matter of days, to look at proposals for Trelawny Stadium, which will be at the centre of sports and entertainment tourism,” Minister Grange disclosed.
