The Trinidad and ToĀbaĀgo ChamĀber of InĀdusĀtry and ComĀmerce has reafĀfirmed that its memĀbers reĀgard CariĀcom as a critĀiĀcal ecoĀnomĀic partĀner, amid reĀnewed pubĀlic scrutiĀny of reĀlaĀtions beĀtween Trinidad and ToĀbaĀgo and the reĀgionĀal bloc.
In a meĀdia reĀlease, the ChamĀber said CariĀcom āreĀmains an esĀsenĀtial source of growth, marĀket diĀverĀsiĀfiĀcaĀtion, and forĀeign exĀchange earnĀingsā for loĀcal busiĀnessĀes across manĀuĀfacĀturĀing, serĀvices, and non-enĀerĀgy exĀports.
It added that Trinidad and ToĀbaĀgo enĀterĀprisĀes have ādeep and longĀstandĀing comĀmerĀcial ties throughĀout the reĀgion, inĀcludĀing esĀtabĀlished cusĀtomers, supĀply chains, emĀployĀees, and physĀiĀcal inĀvestĀments,ā notĀing that CariĀcom reĀmains the counĀtryās secĀond-largest tradĀing partĀner outĀside of the UnitĀed States.
