A photograph believed to be the missing pure white long-haired Persian cat Louis with a man has raised concerns that the feline has been found and is being kept from its owner.

Commander Shamshudeen Ayube of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT) said that both the cat’s owner Amara Ramoo and the HSRT were sent the photograph shortly after midnight this morning.

Ayube said the father of the man in the photograph reached out to the team earlier this morning, saying that the photograph is AI-generated and Louis was not at his home.
