WITHIN the past two weeks, at least three members of the South Western Regional Health Authority (SWRHA) board of directors tendered their resignations, including its chairman Anil Gosine and director Dr Anand Chattergoon.
Gosine and Chattergoon, who were both appointed to the board last year, both confirmed to the Express yesterday that they had informed the Minister of Health of their intentions to resign and sent in letters of resignation. They also stated that a third member had done the same.
Gosine told the Express that he had chosen to resign for personal reasons and that he did not wish to divulge further. He however urged the public to continue using the SWRHA as its staff remained competent and hardworking.
