(Kaieteur News) – The United States Embassy in Guyana on Monday issued an advisory warning persons reapplying for visitor’s visas that they must provide proof that any medical bills incurred during previous treatment in the United States have been paid in full.

The embassy said applicants must submit evidence that “all medical bills from your treatment have been paid in full” and that they did not use U.S. public insurance programmes, such as Medicaid, to cover the cost of their care.

“Make sure to gather these documents ahead of time to help ensure a smooth visa application process,” the embassy advised.
