(AL-JAZEERA) France, the United Kingdom, and Canada are among 12 countries that have backed restrictions on trade with illegal Israeli â settlements in the occupied West Bank.
âToday, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, â Poland, Portugal, Spain, â Sweden and the UK confirm their intention to introduce national and or support â European restrictions on trade in goods â with settlements which â are illegal under international law, or that they are actively considering these and âother measures, in accordance with their national procedures,â the statement of the 12 countriesâ foreign ministers said on Tuesday.
âThe government of Israelâs in the West Bank are undermining the possibility of a two-state solution,â the statement said.
