(Kaieteur News) – The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) on Tuesday launched the fifth edition of National Small Business Week (NSBW), bringing together entrepreneurs, sponsors and institutional partners for a series of activities aimed at strengthening the capacity and market reach of Guyana’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
Held under the theme “Small Businesses, Big Opportunities,” the week of activities runs from 20th-25th October and will culminate in an expo featuring approximately 100 exhibitors at the Railway Courtyard, Georgetown.
Speaking at the launch, GCCI’s President Kathy Smith said the National Small Business Week has been an important initiative of GCCI since its introduction in 2022. She stated that over the years, they have continued to build on this initiative, creating opportunities for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to gain exposure, develop their capacity and establish connection that can support their growth.
