Teen caught with gun, ammo arrested

(Kaieteur News) – An 18-year-old of Samaroo Dam, Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara, is now in police custody after ranks found a Glock 19 pistol and 13 matching live rounds of ammunition in his possession.

The discovery was made on Monday, 28th September, 2026, at about 23:30hrs in the vicinity of Robb and Bourda Streets, Bourda, Georgetown.

Preliminary investigations revealed that ranks were conducting a mobile patrol along Robb Street when they heard a loud explosion, suspected to be a gunshot, and observed a small gathering of persons in the vicinity of Robb and Bourda Streets.
