Shaquawn Alleyne, called “Iswe”, the Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Upper Berbice) man who shot and killed his girlfriend and later buried her in his backyard was on Thursday sentenced to 25 years’ imprisonment without parole.
The sentenced was handed down by Justice Sandil Kissoon on Thursday in the Demerara High Court.
On June 2, Alleyne admitted to killing his 21-year-old girlfriend Shonette Dover in April 2021.
