KINGSTON, Jamaica — Orlando Bennett, the 2025 110m hurdles national champion, looks set to miss the Commonwealth Games later this month as he says he will forgo the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association’s national championships set for June 18-21.
Bennett, who was second in the 110m hurdles on Thursday’s men’s triple jump, is expected to be tested by a quality field at next Thursday’s Golden Gala Pietro Mennea in Rome, the fourth stop on the Wanda Diamond League, said afterwards his next meet would be the Diamond League meet in Doha, set for June 19.
A finalists at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Bennett said, “Next meeting will be Doha and then I go home to Jamaica and rest a bit. This is an off-season for me so my goals are staying in the circuit and getting good times and good rewards.”
