The Democratic Labour Party (DLP) has joined Barbadians and the music fraternity in mourning the passing of legendary musician Sir Emile Straker.
In a statement issued by Acting President Stephen Lashley, the party’s executive, general council and membership extended sincere condolences to Sir Emile’s family, friends, and the wider music fraternity.
The DLP praised Sir Emile’s contribution to Barbadian music, noting that as a vocalist, guitarist, and prolific composer with the internationally renowned Merrymen, he consistently showcased the best of the island’s talent for decades.
