Govt. launches annual mining conference, exhibition

(Kaieteur News) – The Government of Guyana this week launched its annual international mining investment platform–Guyana Mining & Exploration Conference & Exhibition (G-MEX).

In a statement, the Ministry of Natural Resources described the moves as a significant milestone, explaining that G-MEX was designed to connect Guyana’s mineral potential with the people, partnerships, technology and investment needed to responsibly develop it.

“The map at the heart of the G-MEX logo, the gold, the green landscape and leaves and the circular movement surrounding these elements represent the connections, continuity and progress in the sector — bringing together government, industry, communities, investors and international partners around one shared vision,” MNR said.
