Pearce Robinson ordered to pay $250,000 over defamatory video

A LONDON-BASED journalist has been ordered to pay over $250,000 to a Strategic Services Agency (SSA) employee for defamation.
Justice Westmin James noted that the allegations were “exceptionally serious” as he delivered the judgment on Tuesday.
Tonja-Melanie Mannette filed the lawsuit against Pearce Robinson. Mannette, who is employed under the Ministry of National Security, claimed that a 49-minute social media live video posted by Robinson in March 2024 portrayed her being involved with a church and the SSA, and falsely implied she was a threat to national security.
