PRIME Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says the “swine culture” entrenched by the People’s National Movement (PNM) must be uprooted if Trinidad and Tobago’s working and middle classes are to prosper.
In a social media post yesterday, Persad-Bissessar accused the former PNM administration of fostering a culture of dependency, dishonesty, lawlessness and mediocrity, while allowing State resources to be exploited through welfare schemes, government contracts and public sector employment.
She declared that her Government would continue cutting wasteful welfare programmes, corrupt employment schemes and non-performing State agencies to redirect national resources towards hardworking, law-abiding citizens.
