A person of interest is assisting police with their investigations into a stabbing death earlier today in The City.
Two men were in an altercation in the Vendors Market at Fairchild Street, St Michael, around 9 a.m. One of them sustained stab wounds and was transported by public service vehicle to the nearby Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), where he succumbed to injuries.
This is the second stabbing death in less than 24 hours. Jamario Omar Holder, 26 years, of Block 7, Farm Road, Deacons, St Michael, succumbed to his injuries at the QEH yesterday. Police also have a person of interest in that incident.
