A FORMER police officer who was placed on suspension and later fired for misbehaviour in public office after he forced two members of the public to engage in sexual intercourse in his presence has failed in his bid to take his constitutional claim to the Privy Council.
Chad Antoine, who was dismissed from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) in 2003 following disciplinary proceedings, sought special leave to appeal after both the High Court and the Court of Appeal rejected his claim that he had been unlawfully discriminated against.
However, the Privy Council on Monday refused him leave to pursue the appeal, effectively ending the matter.
