The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is warning the public that electricity lines on transmission towers are energised with up to 220,000 volts and coming into contact with or even close to these lines can result in death by electrocution.
"Persons are therefore strongly cautioned to stay away from T&TEC’s infrastructure," T&TEC stated.
The cautionary message from the commission came after a video surfaced showing someone on top of a transmission tower along Caspian Drive, Pt. Lisas.
