The Trinidad and To­ba­go Elec­tric­i­ty Com­mis­sion (T&TEC) is warn­ing the pub­lic that elec­tric­i­ty lines on trans­mis­sion tow­ers are en­er­gised with up to 220,000 volts and com­ing in­to con­tact with or even close to these lines can re­sult in death by elec­tro­cu­tion.

"Per­sons are there­fore strong­ly cau­tioned to stay away from T&TEC’s in­fra­struc­ture," T&TEC stat­ed.

The cau­tion­ary mes­sage from the com­mis­sion came af­ter a video sur­faced show­ing some­one on top of a trans­mis­sion tow­er along Caspi­an Dri­ve, Pt. Lisas.
