President of the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society (TTRCS), Anne-Marie Quammie-Alleyne, has died after reportedly being ill for some time.
She assumed the post in August 2025, succeeding former president Jill De Bourg, who held the position for seven years. Since her appointment, Ms Quammie-Alleyne made few public appearances, with her last known appearance being on February 7 at the TTRCS Children’s Carnival event, where she welcomed and hosted Their Excellencies Christine Carla Kangaloo and First Gentleman Kerwyn Garcia.
Last week, Vice President Edward Moodie was appointed to act as president in Ms Quammie-Alleyne’s absence.
