The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has condemned the theft of critical electrical wires from the Biche Booster Station, an act of vandalism that has disrupted water supply to several communities in east Trinidad.
According to WASA, unknown individuals stole electrical wiring from the facility, causing a complete power failure and forcing the booster station offline at 6 am today.
As a result, residents in Charuma, Biche, Plumitan and surrounding areas are experiencing low water pressure or interruptions in service.
