Six-year-old dark bay/brown horse Storm Boy finally got his second career win on Saturday, June 13, 2026 — but he did not cross the line first.
Trained by Marlon Anderson and ridden by Phillip Parchment, Storm Boy finished second behind Absolute Blue and Raddesh Roman. The race was a five-year-old and upward Optional Claiming, $200,000 tag ran over 6 furlongs (1,200m) that also included native-bred six-year-olds and upward, non-winners of two.
After the race, Parchment lodged a jockey objection and the stewards launched an inquiry. They reviewed the finish and did take down the colours of Absolute Blue, who caused interference and intimidation to Storm Boy inside the final furlong (200m) of the race.
