BOA names Dakar Youth Games team

Barbados will be represented in three disciplines at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal, which will run from October 31 to November 13. The disciplines are judo, swimming, and triathlon.

This was confirmed when the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) officially revealed the composition of the team on Monday. Barbados has competed at all three previous Summer Youth Olympic Games, held in 2010, 2014 and 2018

Judoka Deann Walton will compete in the under-52kg category, swimmer Victor Ashby in the 100m butterfly, while Alexis Lashley is set to take part in the women’s individual sprint triathlon.
