Barbados could meet domestic demand for pork, but excessive imports risk discouraging farmers from expanding production, the president of the Barbados Agricultural Society (BAS), Henderson Williams, has said.

Williams, also president of the Pig Farmers Association, said producers could meet domestic demand and should be given more opportunities to expand production.
