Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh has reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to creating an environment that supports the establishment and growth of small businesses as the National Small Business Week 2026 (NSBW) Expo opened on Saturday at the Railway Courtyard.
Singh, who represented President Dr Irfaan Ali at the opening ceremony, said the entrepreneurs participating in the expo had already demonstrated an interest in taking advantage of the opportunities emerging from Guyana’s growing economy.

“You have all chosen to be here today. You’re a self-selected group of people and that itself is already a good signal,” Singh said.
