Police are investigating the robbery of a popular San Fernando restaurant and bar in which bandits made off with alcohol and cigarettes.
A report stated that the 48-year-old proprietor of Canboulay Restaurant and Lounge on Sutton Street reported that he secured the premises around 2 am on Saturday before leaving. However, when he returned around 11 am on Monday, he discovered that a glass door on the southern side had been smashed.
As he checked around the business, he realised that a quantity of alcohol and cigarettes were missing. The value of the stolen items is yet to be determined.
