A Venezuelan woman accused of running a human trafficking ring in Tunapuna has been denied bail and is expected to return to court in November.
According to a release from the Counter Trafficking Unit (CTU), 22-year-old Gabrielis Maibelline Periera Martinez was formally charged following the execution of Operation G-Ride on June 6, 2025.
The operation led to the rescue of several Latin American nationals and the dismantling of what the CTU described as a major human trafficking network.
