The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS) Po­lice Acad­e­my has an­nounced the in­tro­duc­tion of a Bach­e­lor of Sci­ence De­gree in Polic­ing. The aca­d­e­m­ic pro­gramme is de­signed to en­hance pro­fes­sion­al de­vel­op­ment and im­prove law en­force­ment ed­u­ca­tion with­in the TTPS.

The Po­lice Acad­e­my is the first of its kind in Trinidad and To­ba­go to be reg­is­tered with the Ac­cred­i­ta­tion Coun­cil of Trinidad and To­ba­go. The new pro­gramme is be­ing led by Dean Nicole Robin­son un­der the guid­ance of Provost Dr. Si­mon Alex­is.

The de­gree aligns with the TTPS Strate­gic Plan 2025–2027, specif­i­cal­ly Strate­gic Pri­or­i­ty num­ber two: Or­ga­ni­za­tion­al De­vel­op­ment, and Out­come #5: En­hanced Pro­fes­sion­al De­vel­op­ment. This out­come aims to in­crease em­ploy­ee sat­is­fac­tion through ex­pand­ed train­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties.
