The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) Police Academy has announced the introduction of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Policing. The academic programme is designed to enhance professional development and improve law enforcement education within the TTPS.
The Police Academy is the first of its kind in Trinidad and Tobago to be registered with the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago. The new programme is being led by Dean Nicole Robinson under the guidance of Provost Dr. Simon Alexis.
The degree aligns with the TTPS Strategic Plan 2025–2027, specifically Strategic Priority number two: Organizational Development, and Outcome #5: Enhanced Professional Development. This outcome aims to increase employee satisfaction through expanded training opportunities.
